"What I Know Now" About Motherhood
What I know now about Motherhood that I didn't really expect was that , your life is no longer just yours.. its not all about you anymore... its about that little bundle of joy, whether you have just one or many, their lives are now yours. You had hopefully given your life to them happily, joyfully, expectingly.. to me that has been such an honor, the biggest award anyone could ever give me and it wasn't presented in front of a crowd of 200 or even 50..
No, I accepted the reward overjoyeed, as soon as he came into my life, a 10 lb bundle of joy way back in December of 2004, I didn't need a plaque or a trophy, I was holding that trophy as I will always in my heart and thats the greatest gift any Mother could ever recieve. The gift of Motherhood and the life long fulfilling gift it is each and every time you look in their eyes, whether it be with the first child and only child or with the many to come.
I now have 2 boys and a 3rd angel on the way, this time a girl! I felt the exact same way when my 2nd son was born and I'm sure it will wash over me again with my 3rd! I am very proud to be a Mother and I will give each and every day of my life to them!
